Dating back to 2011, the fundamental idea of the Planet Positive initiative is to promote production through people, for people, whilst integrating economics, social issues and resource conservation.
It brings together all the cooperative’s activities in favour of ecology intensive agriculture (EIA) and sustainable development.
Planet Positive is a name, a slogan (“Producing for people”) and a logo, intended to unite members and employees.
Officially launched in 2013, Planet Positive is an initiative which brings under one umbrella all of Triskalia’s activities in support of ecology intensive agriculture (EIA) and sustainable development.
It reaffirms the primary purpose of the cooperative, to produce through and for people, whilst integrating economics, social issues and resource conservation.
The expression “Ecology Intensive Agricuture” was coined in 2007 and can be defined as the following: “To produce more and better, with less”.
The objective is to work on the most virtuous practices in each area of production and improve system performance.
Diminishing resources, population growth, climatic and economic disasters… The challenges that the world of agriculture has to cope with are numerous and varied.
Planet Positive is an innovative initiative which aims to tackle the issues we are already wrestling with and will have to deal with in the future.
